January brought an event that is very near and dear to my heart...Bowl for the Cure. It has become a yearly tradition with me and my family. I am really glad that I introduced them to it and that everyone always looks forward to the event. My eldest aunt passed away from breast cancer when I was very young. I have very vague memories of her and that always makes me sad. If detected early, breast cancer is 99% curable. Any amount of money raised for research and treatment is a very important to me.
It is always such an inspiring event to go to knowing that there are survivors among us and we celebrate that and hope research continues towards a cure.
